Kapoor’s appointment as DG ITBP is until 31 October 2026, his superannuation date.
Praveen Kumar’s tenure as DG BSF is until 30 September 2030, his retirement date.
Kapoor was previously Haryana DGP and was sent on leave following Y Puran Kumar’s alleged suicide.
