CGPA to Marks Calculator
Convert your CGPA into total marks out of any maximum — 500, 600 or a custom total.
Converting CGPA Directly into Marks
Many application forms — scholarships, government jobs, higher-studies portals — ask for marks obtained and maximum marks rather than CGPA. The conversion is two steps: first CGPA → percentage (usually × 9.5), then percentage → marks: Marks = (CGPA × 9.5 ÷ 100) × total marks.
Worked Example
CBSE Class 10, five subjects, total 500 marks, CGPA 8.6: equivalent percentage = 8.6 × 9.5 = 81.7%, so marks = 81.7% of 500 = 408.5 / 500. For a 600-mark total the same CGPA gives 490.2 / 600.
