Bishkek to Host SCO Summit 2026; Organization Marks 25th Anniversary

The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit 2026 is scheduled to take place in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, from August 31 to September 1, 2026. Heads of state and representatives from SCO member countries will participate in this summit.

Significance of the 25th Anniversary:

In 2026, the SCO completes 25 years since its inception. The main theme is "25 Years of SCO: Together Towards Sustainable Peace, Development, and Prosperity." This reflects the organization's growing regional and global importance.

Focus on Security and Terrorism:

The summit will feature dedicated discussions on cooperation against terrorism, separatism, and extremism. Cybercrime, cyberattacks, and other cross-border crimes are also emerging as key topics within the SCO's security cooperation framework.
